On Wednesday, October 2, Smith’s Chinese Inter-regional Student Cultural Organization (CISCO) is co-sponsoring “A Moving Story: Transporting People and Goods in China”.
The lecture, which begins at 4 p.m. in Weinstein Auditorium in Wright Hall, is being presented by professors Janice Moulton (philosophy) and George Robinson (psychology).
Using photos and video, Moulton and Robinson will share their experiences and research: hundreds of miles on foot, traveled by bicycle, car, taxi, bus, train, plane, ferry and riverboat, within and between cities and through the countryside, navigating ultramodern subways, and even surviving a near-death experience in a taxi driving the wrong way on an interstate highway.
