Tumblr

Tumblr is a micro-blogging platform that allows users to create and post original content or “reblog” content from other blogs. The website offers various customizable themes and allows users to choose their own URLs.  On the site, users can follow other blogs, gain their own followers, and message fellow bloggers.

Getting Started

Create a tumblr account here. You will need an email address. The website will then prompt you to pick your unique URL (also your username), which can be changed at any time. The site will then ask you to select topics that you are interested in, which it will use to recommend blogs for you to follow. After this step, you will be taken to the main “dashboard” page of the site. Here, you can set up your own website, create content, find blogs, and view posts from blogs that you follow.
