Get involved with Boddhisara Dharma Community!

Boddhisara Dharma community is a small, low budget but very welcoming organization established by Mr. Mark Hart and his wife. They had a vision for a Dharma community where people would support each other and their kids would experience growing up in a Buddhist community and learn to meditate and to respect people’s values. For the first six years they had the members and their children participate in the meditation sittings at Mark’s home in Leverett. They no longer have meditation sittings with children because it is hard to manage and teach young children. For the past 7 to 8 years, they have been hosting “Sunny morning sitting sessions” at Mark’s home. Mark teaches meditation based mainly on Theravada Buddhism but has background in Zochen and Mahamudra as well. The members are not necessarily Buddhist and come from all walks of life.

This community offers Sunny morning sitting group at North Levrett from 10-11.30 am on Sundays which is free of cost and welcomes anyone to join. Mr. Hart offers classes on meditation at Amherst College on Tuesday nights. He has been doing so since 1997. There is a suggested donation for this class.
