INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS CLUB The Smith College International Student Club was founded in 1950 with the purpose of promoting “through social and cultural activities and the exchange of ideas, a better understanding between students of the United States and those who come from other counties.” Membership was open to all students with an interest in international issues. Club members meet at least once a month and the organization sponsors a variety of activities such as trips to other colleges, special radio programs focused on life in foreign countries, conferences, guest speakers, dances, and movies from other countries.
