Nosotras

NOSOTRAS Formed in 1983, the purpose of Nosotras is to provide support for Latina students at Smith College and to give them a chance to “identify with people of their own cultural background and individuals who understand their experiences in similar ways,” but also to educate the community about the issues Latinas face on campus and to promote a cultural exchange between Latinas of different backgrounds. Membership is open to anyone in the Smith community and the group regularly sponsors a variety of activities, such as conferences, discussions, dances, dramatic events, lectures, videos, and more.
