WordPress Overview

WordPress is Smith’s platform for creating blogs and websites. WordPress sites can be built to manage and organize content in many different ways.  You can build a traditional chronological blog, or manage interrelated types of content.  You can also use it to host and display multimedia materials and pages of static information.

Who is using WordPress?

WordPress sites at Smith meet a variety of educational goals, from the exhibition of media-rich academic work, to collaborative student writing, to facilitating communication between Smith students and students elsewhere around the world.  WordPress sites are being used by groups of faculty and students at Smith and across the five colleges who are engaged in such endeavors as digital humanities projects and collaborative research.
