Instructions:

Take some notes Jot notes in response to the prompts below:

  • An experience of deep engagement/flow in the lab
  • A particular interesting question or series of questions
  • A time when you felt challenged or frustrated in the lab
  • A time when you were excited by something in the lab
  • A moment when something became clear to you — either about the world or about yourself or both — in the lab.
  • A border-crossing (culturally, linguistically, ideologically — however you want to interpret it)

Watch an interview Watch as the group leader models generative knowledge interviewing, and then take turns engaging in your own triad interviews. Some questions that the interview might ask:

Interview each other Talk about your experiences for 7 minutes each in your generative knowledge interviewing groups. Use the questions above to help you.

Write Finally, write for 15 minutes without lifting your pen about one of the experiences that you just discussed in your group. What skills and capacities did you practice or develop?
