My name is Caitlin Rosazza and I am a Senior at Smith College. I am originally from Western, Massachusetts. At Smith, I am majoring in Italian Studies and I’m also part of the Translation Studies Concentration. At Smith I am a Gold Key Tour Guide, Vice President of the Italian Club and Wilson House Senior Class Representative.
I have a true passion for languages and believe that acquiring translation skills is key to gaining a better understanding of your perspective languages. I have worked mostly with translation of literature, specifically short stories, but I have also translated Italian fashion and food articles, poems such as Saint Francis’ famous poem “Canticle of the Sun” (Cantico delle Creature), as well as explored aspects of subtitling.
