The purpose of the Smith College Sailing Club is to recognize sailing as a lifetime sport and to provide members of the Smith College community with recreational and competitive (intercollegiate) sailing opportunities.  The goals of the club are to maintain a consistent membership of Smith College students; to teach the sport of sailing; to promote the sport through intramural recreational activities and through intercollegiate competition within the Inter-Collegiate Yacht Racing Association (ICYRA).
