Lonesometown

excerpt from Lonesometown

With a gentle reference to music videos with a male hearthrob, Lonesometown evokes the bittersweet experiences of waiting and longing. The artist appears in the video and sings the soundtrack originally recorded by Ricky Nelson in 1958.

"Each movement dissolves into the next, stacking up these little movements into a segmented continuum like a snake's discarded skin. It gives the waiting a primordial feeling like one of the worst days in your life when time stood still or stretched out for what seemed like an eternity. ...Knapp's success lies in her ability to capture in a few simple strokes a universal situation we can all empathize with." -Ann-Sargent Wooster
