Remarks: Portraying Harriman as a pirate was common. Here he is breathing defiance and seeming to threaten Uncle Sam who asks for mercy. Yet there is a ludicrous quality to this image; Harriman looks like a pipsqueak and he is sailing a silly looking "armed bumboat."
