Petrus [Pierssone] de Milleville {Leo X}
In the chapel of the Duke of Ferrara 1504-1510 ; in the chapel of the Marchese of Mantua 1511-1516 [?]; earliest reference, letter of Antonius Bidon to the Duke of Ferrara of 7 November 1517 ; see FREY for a bull of 25 June 1518 .
See Marquier. It is not clear when Milleville joined the chapel, but on 25 June 1518 he was officially replaced by Jean Marquier . In the bull published by FREY , Milleville is called a "clericus coniugatus." He might therefore also be identified with the "Pierson" who was a singer in the Matuan chapel in 1511 and was, according to BERTOLOTTI still in Mantua in 1516 when he buried a son. Milleville was in Rome by November 1517 at the latest, when the singer Bidon offered to send him to the Duke of Ferrara. An undated motu proprio that probably comes from August or September 1519 implies that Milleville had not picked up his salary for the previous year, since the money is directed to other purposes.

Signore mio vorria ancora pregare humilmente la Excellentia sua per amore mio me voglia far questa gratia de essere contento di provedere di qualche cosa pro victu de Piedrossono il qualle e molto affectionato a la Illustrissima Signoria Vostra. Lui mi ha dicto se la Signoria sua non se ne volle tanto servire per cantore li voglia donar qualche officio a fare o ad excertisarse che lui si e per far ogni cossa pur che facia cossa che sia grata ad sua Excellentia.
