On 30 July  1555 , Palestrina, along with   Bonot/Barre  and  Ferrabosco , was excluded from the choir because of his married state [See Document...]. The three singers were granted monthly pensions of 5 ducats 87  baiocchi , and remained in the  mandati  lists in a special category eventually labled "coniugatis." In June  1565 , 3 ducats 13  baiocchi  were added to Palestrina's pension "ex causis diversorum compositionum quas hactenus edidit et est editurus ad commodum dicte capelle" [ Camerale I , 917, fol. 4r, repeated in following lists]; he was therefore at this time appointed official composer to the chapel. At the new pension of 9 ducats, he remains in the lists until his death.
