The magnificent ladies of Nosotras, with collaboration and enthusiasm raised $1000.00 for Loiza Library in Puerto Rico. Nosotras is working closely together with Julio Alves, Smith College Jacobson Center Director, who is active in projects surrounding Loiza Library. Since 1981, Loiza Library has not received any donations. Nosotras is extremely proud that with hard work and initiative, we have surpassed our expectations and made an impact in our community.

In addition, Nosotras also raised over $129.00 aiding Haiti’s recent natural disaster.

If interested in helping contact SASCA. They will continue to raise awareness and funds for Haiti.

We commend all participating members for their involvement, without them, we would not have succeeded.

Feel free to roam through the website, paying close attention to the days of our events, our wonderful new board, and our fabulous gallery.

Nosotras is opening their first Dance group. Headed by our Five College Rep. Katherine Lebron. If interested, please contact her for details.

For those interested in helping start a Spanish literary magazine, contact Gladys Palaguachi at gpalagua@email.smith.edu.

Your input is important and these events are for you! Get involved and have fun :) Come to our next meeting to sign up.
