QDA Text Search Functions
QDA software can automatically or semi-automatically search all cases in the full data set for:
- Identical words, phrases or "text strings";
- Generate Boolean searches for text segments codes with "And", "Either/Or", "Both" or "Not" relationships;
- Do Proximity searches for words or phrases located within a specified number of lines from each other or nested/overlapping/embedded;
- Do Related term searches in which all forms of synonyms are sought; and
- Do Wildcard searches in which varying word or phrase forms are all sought.
Results of searches can be included in further searches on some packages.
