Sheila Curran Bernard is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning media professional. Her books include Documentary Storytelling and the forthcoming Archival Storytelling (co-authored with Kenn Rabin), both for Focal Press.

She has been honored with residencies at the MacDowell Colony for the Arts and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and has taught at Princeton University, Westbrook College and elsewhere. This fall, she will join the faculty at the University at Albany, State University of New York, as Associate Director of Documentary Studies and Director of Media Programs at the New York State Writers Institute.
